Enlarging people’s freedoms and opportunities and improving their well-being
This is a professional course developed under the partnership with The International Committee for the Development of People (Comitato Internazionale Per Lo Sviluppo dei popoli – CISP).
The training is helping to improve the quality and effectiveness of development interventions aimed at promoting social economic and political inclusion in Kenya: goal 10 (Reducing inequalities), target 10.2 of the SDGs, “by 2030, develop and promote social inclusion, economic and political of all, regardless of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion, economic status, etc.” and goal 4 8 (Quality education for all), targets 4.3 “by 2030, ensure equal access for all women and men to affordable and quality technical, vocational and tertiary education, including university” and 4.5 “by 2030, eliminate gender disparities in education and ensure equal access to all levels of education and vocational training for the vulnerable, including persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples and children in vulnerable situations”
The four stages have the four courses namely:
- Community Development.
- Evidence based strategy development/research methods.
- Human rights based approaches to development.
- Impact assessment
Institute for Social Transformation
The Institute of Social Transformation was founded in 1994 by Franscesco Pierli, a Comboni Missionary, with a vision of training people from the society and church circles in order to bring about social transformation.
